Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress best recognized for her appearances in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut, she has shown her range in acting giving outstanding performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her role as a character in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first one to attract her notice. However, it was her character in the role of Fannie Lou (a women's activist for rights) within the biography All the Way film that earned her the attention of an actor. Hind was praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 will be renewed for another season.
